Crye Precision, the manufacturer of combat apparel used by many military units, designed a helmet to push the standard for protection, operator comfort and end user modularity. The AirFrame helmet features a unique 2-piece overlapping design that allows for passive cooling, without reducing ballistic protection, when in use. Currently used by numerous military special forces and specialized law enforcement agencies, the AirFrame is becoming a popular piece of headgear for both real-world operators and airsoft players. While it does not have the same ballistic capabilities as its real counter part, the Lancer Tactical CP AirFrame helmet is an excellent helmet for airsoft games. The shell is made from high strength ABS polymer making the helmet very lightweight, yet durable. The overlapping 2-piece design is carried over on the replica giving the helmet a futuristic aesthetic. While the overlapping shell may be a bit “too unique” for some players, it serves to maximize ventilation when wearing the helmet and keep the wearer cool and comfortable. Along the sides of the AirFrame there are modular rail channels that can be used to mount a variety of tactical accessories. On the front, the helmet has three holes pre-drilled into the shell for airsofters to attach any aftermarket night vision mounts. The AirFrame features a 4-point adjustable chin strap that can be adjusted to fit most operators. Combined with the heavily padded interior, this helmet is extremely comfortable to wear and looks awesome.
